[CBFF] You Grassy Knollers might be onto something

I am sorry to hear about what Rivers said to SD. I understand he wants to
psyche his guys up, but come on. You can say whatever you want about Rex,
but he was under as much scrutiny as I have ever seen be placed on a QB, and
he handled it very well last year. Did he handle it perfectly? No, but as
far as I am concerned he handled it as well as could have been expected.
Would I have loved to see a few better throws early on in the SD game?
Yeah, probably on a couple .. but he was anything but the reason why we
lost.
Yet Matt Leinert and Alex Smith both have much worse games on Monday night
and not a word was said. I guess the young QB thing still applies to them.
Rivera is a tool, and the SD players all chirped too much after receiving
such a gift. I hope we play them again .. but part of me hopes that
overhyped coach follows his usual pattern and doesn't even make the
playoffs. I am a big NE fan this week.

The St. Louis game proves that Rex is not a mental midget.
I was a big Rivera fan - as I'm sure many of you recall - but I have
soured on this guy. The pre-game show on WBBM this past Sunday
reported that Rivera went up to greet Olin, and our boy just walked
away without saying a word.
Love it.
