Don't know about you guys, but this was an extremely frustrating game for
me. From the start, where I wasn't able to see most of the first quarter,
to all of the injuries (as Jerry mentioned)..... maybe it's because I'm
coming down with a cold, I don't know... Like I said, I missed most of the
first quarter, and maybe Benson lit it up then, but I wasn't all that
impressed with his effort. Too hit and miss and with a large chuck of it
coming in garbage time at the end of the game to get him over 100 yards.
Maybe it's just that I'm tired of seeing him lie on the ground *after every
fricken play*!! Come on Dude, get your ass up and jog back the huddle like
you want to play the next down. Starting to grate. As of right now, both
my son and I think Peterson is the better looking back. We'll see, I guess.
Moose, YOU HAVE TO CATCH THAT PASS. You catch that pass, and the INT on the
next play probably doesn't occur. Where's Bradley? Isn't it time to get
him some PT and find out if he's an upgrade over Moose? Because if Moose
starts the dropsy's like he did a couple years ago... I'm going to go
ballistic on our TV.
The defense did look dominant, except for that 3 play (or so it
seemed) drive for the TD.
And yeah, Rex had an up and down game... again.... and I'm not apologizing
for him, but I'll tell you where most of my frustration lies after this game
(and the last game, and the last one before that, in Feb.)... I have not
been real impressed with our OC. Let's go down field a few times, can we?
It was pretty obvious the Chiefs had the screen sniffed out, but stubbornly,
we continued to beat that dead horse. I saw one pass to our TE, a
completion... then what? Why is it so hard to figure out that the offense
works best when we get the TE involved *a lot* more?? Where's Bradley? (did
I mention that already?) Did Olsen Play? I thought he was good to go? Are
we trying to keep these guys under wraps so nobody knows about them?
Really, I'm starting to see shades of the conservatism of... Shoop...
(GASP!) We can't get our timing down unless we open up the offense up
for the whole season, so it pays off come playoff time, or sooner... to win
a few critical games at the end of the season to make the playoffs. This
just won't click like turning on a switch.
And who's drawing up these plays where their DE comes in untouched to
destroy our QB? Can we please fix that?
Ok... we won... settle down... deep breaths.... Defense looked good.
Dallas next Sunday night is going to be a real test. I hope our OC is up to
it.

ps... after tomorrow, I'll be incommunicado up in Voyageurs National Park,
fishing for most of the week (and freezing our butts completely off), so if
you're going to blast me on this, do it quick!
Go Bears!
