I think this thread has run its course, Jim, because most of what you wrote,
I think, misses the point. Or maybe we're just all talking past one
another. I don't know anymore.
Let me say this:
I have agreed with the point that not all plays have been used yet, and I
granted you that some special ones are always held in reserve for the right
moment.
But that has nothing to do with the initial point made by Dwayne, seconded
by Jerry and defended by you: namely, whether the Bears have just played
milquetoast offense through 2 games in anticipation of busting out a dynamic
offense against a major NFC opponent like Dallas.
I could concede every single last point you made in your post, but none of
it would entail that the Bears have been pulling back on the reigns of the
offense only to let 'em run wild on Sunday night. That's the point of the
thread, and I just don't see any reasonable basis for suspecting that has
been the coaching staff's plan.
Again, I would challenge someone to call Hub and float this possibility by
him.
