There's something to this.  But I think it's more because defense figured
out that blitzing up the middle was the way to break the Chicago offense
down.  It definitely wasn't just that the Bear offense looked worse because
of the Bear defense.  IMO the Bear offense was worse mostly because of the
opposing defenses and the way they chose to play them.
