I did not say anything of the sort. Countering something you said to retort
the original point does not mean I'm in 100 percent agreement with that
point. I disagree with both extremes.
I do not believe the Bears have pulled out all the stops on offense. Hester
has been used sparingly, partially because he simply needs practice at WR,
partially because his plays are probably new and the whole team needs
practice with them, and partially because they were probably deemed to be
pointless. Against SD, it was too tight, until the turnovers, to risk much
new stuff, and against KC it was not necessary.
Greg Olsen has not been used, not because he could not play but because like
a freshman you redshirt with an ankle injury, his value at the end is higher
than his value at the beginning and it's better to let him assimilate longer
and heal while you're at it so that he has a higher chance of making it to
the end.
I also do not believe it has anything to do with the Cowboys coming up. The
Cowboys game is no more important than the KC game was or the SD game was.
I think the offense will be better simply because it's jelling and will try
more high-risk, high-reward plays than we've seen in the first two games
simply because it will need more offense and will be more ready.
