[CBFF] Inside out

Good teams are built from the inside out. On the d-line, we've seen how this
benefits the Bears.

On the o-line, well we just gave up a bunch-o-sacks to the Lions.

I think this season is done because of the glaring omission in the draft/FA
by Jerry Angelo.

How to fix - two O linemen and a QB on day 1 of the draft, and hopefully a
lineman in FA. Stick with Griese or Orton through next year while you
develop the new QB.

I don't think Turner is the problem. Its hard to make adjustments at
halftime when your team isn't executing the plays you give them in the first
place. He had the right idea to come out and run more in the 2nd half. I
could stand some more third down running, but that's my only major complaint
about Turner. I'd like to see Turner given the chance to develop a QB from
day 1 - something he hasn't gotten to do in either of his terms in Chicago.
I think part of the problem with Grossman was his involvement in so many
systems since he was drafted (Thanks Terry Shea). Give a new QB a strong
line, with Benson, and Olson as safety valves and I think we'll see better
days. But its time for Miller, Tait, and Brown to go.

Today felt a lot like the late 90s - a no-consequence game between us and
the Lions while the Pack and the 'Boys are way out in front.
