Bears Defense

   1. For some reason the Lions decided to come out running the ball. My
only assumption is that they planned on wearing the Bear defense down like
everyone else has this season. They did but I don't think it had to do with
the run. It was just the fact that, once again, the defense spent too much
of the game out o the field.
   2. The Bear defensive line did a good job till they wore down in the
fourth quarter but I have to say that the Lions offensive line truly stinks.
Their pass protection was pretty bad.
   3. Once the pressure from the defensive line went away, the rookies in
the Bear defensive backfield were exposed. But given the Lions offense, I
really can't say that they were particularly bad. Just not good.

Bear offense

   1. Please stop turning the ball over.
   2. I wasn't too pleased with the timeout just 3 minutes into the ball
game. There were times throughout the game when the Bear offense didn't look
particularly well organized.
   3. Don't turn the ball over.
   4. Please stop dropping passes. That means you Berrian.
   5. Don't turn the ball over.
   6. The Bears definitely lost the battle at the line of scrimmage on
offense. Pass protection was really poor. It wasn't picking up the blitz so
much as it was allowing simple stunts to work at the line all game. These
guys have to pull is together.
   7. Don't turn the ball over.
   8. Can't anyone around here hold on to the football? That means you ,
Benson. And you, Hester.
   9. Don't turn the ball over.
  10. Can someone tell me where Greg Olsen was? Seriously, was he hurt and I
missed it?
  11. Don't turn the ball over.
  12. Here's hoping John Tait is OK. He's probably the most irreplaceable
part of the offense.
  13. Don't turn the ball over.

Bears Miscellaneous

   1. Kick coverage was not especially good today.
   2. I still can't figure out why anyone would kick to Devin Hester.
   3. I spent this whole game waiting to see who stinks worse. Honestly,
this might have been the worst Bears game I've watched since the year after
Lovie Smith was hired and I mean both teams, here. Most of the readers of
this blog know me. I don't just blow off steam like this every week after a
loss. This was like a circus. A long, long day at the circus with lots of
clowns. It's one thing to watch your team go out and get their butts kicked
by someone better. That I can live with. But this? This was a travesty.
   4. Rex Grossman loses his job because he turns the ball over. So you
would think that the one thing Brian Griese absolutely would not do is throw
an interception. Or at least multiple interceptions. But no. New week, same
story. Listen up guys. I don't care if you have to run the ball straight
into the line 3 times and punt. Don't turn the ball over. I don't care if
you have to direct snap to the Adrian Peterson. Don't turn the ball over. I
don't care if you have to go out and take a knee every freakin' time you
touch the ball on offense. For the sake of Mother Mary and Peter and Paul
and all the saints, DON'T TURN THE DAMNED BALL OVER!
   5. [sigh] I feel better now.
