Tom Zbikowski always dreamed of playing for the Bears. The former Notre 
Dame safety might be a step closer to making that a reality.

Zbikowski is scheduled to visit Halas Hall Wednesday to meet wiith his 
hometown team. The former Buffalo Grove star is projected to be anywhere 
from a third to a sixth-round pick in next week's NFL pick.

Bears general manager Jerry Angelo called this class of safeties 
"anemic," but the Bears could use help at the position. Plus Zbikowski 
is capable of contributing on special teams.

Of course, Zbikowski's visit could mean nothing. The Bears typically 
bring in several local players, such as former Illinois running back 
Rashard Mendenhall, who visited last week. So it's jumping the gun to 
say the Bears are seriously considering drafting Mendenhall, Zbikowski 
or any other prospect who has visited.
