After not drafting a quarterback, Jerry Angelo said the Bears would look
to sign a couple undrafted free-agent. The Bears inked at least one,
signing Southern Illinois' Nick Hill to a standard three-year deal.

The 6-foot-2, 214-pound Hill started all 14 games for the Salukis in
2007. He completed 258 of 361 passes for 3,175 yards with 28 touchdowns
and seven interceptions.

"We’re very excited about this opportunity for Nick,'' said agent Andrew
Simms. "You always want your clients drafted. But when that doesn't
happen, it's always about the next opportunity. With just two
quarterbacks over there in Chicago, Nick has the opportunity to compete."
