OK, I sent my question to Larry. Look for Matt L. from Youngsville, LA.
Of course, it wouldn't be a Chalk Talk question if I couldn't look up the answer myself with a minimal amount of effort, so I've just reached for my 2007 Media Guide and found the following:
>From 1971 to 1999, the Bears apparently opened the season at home every year except 1980, 1982, and 1997. This honestly surprises me.
Even more surprising, the Bears opened on the ROAD in every season from 1932 to 1970 except: 1938, 1939, and 1968. Of those 36 road openers, 25 were at Green Bay, including 16 straight from '32 to '49. Of the other 11 seasons, @ GB was one of the first three games 9 times ('66 and '70 were the exceptions), and in all nine times the Green Bay road game occurred before the first home game.
Back to the recent past, here's the Bears openers since 2000:
00: @ MIN
01: @ BAL
02: v. MIN (Champaign)
03: @ SF
04: v. DET
05: @ WAS
06: @ GB
07: @SD
Sooooo, the short answer to my question is: The last time the Bears opened the season three straight times on the road was 1965, 1966, and 1967. I wonder how much depth Larry would get into...
Personally, I'm thinkin' the Bears open 2008 at home. In their white unis, of course.

For your question, perhaps you should send an email to Chalk Talk.
