Virtual high-five, Jer!
It's amazing to think that 15 days ago, I was painfully depressed about the idea of a Packers/Pats Superbowl that I would be unable to watch out of disgust. Now neither of those franchises' insufferable fanbases has anything to cheer about, and that makes me just feel great. :) :) :) :)
Go Giants! I loves me some schadenfreude!

If it sounds like I'm reveling in the pain of the New England fans, my
apologies in advance. However, watching the Giants win Superbowl XLII just
might have been the most satisfying non-Bears victory I've seen since the 97
Broncos up-ended the favored Packers.
All we've been hearing about since the off-season is the greatness of the
Patriots. Then we hear about spygate. And for the past two weeks it has
been a Tom Brady lickfest in the media. To see the Pats get shut-up like
that and to see a cheater like Belichick go home without the hardware feels
like there is still some justice in sports.
I will say this much: I've never been a Randy Moss fan. I'm still not. But
I just watched him take questions without attitude or bitterness. One small
plus in their column.
It was also nice to see the Giants pull this off without two of the biggest
turds in sports: Tiki Barber and Jeremy Shocky.
I'm just full of all sorts of warm-fuzzies.
Jerry
