1) She doesn't have to win to get sponsors, she's enough of a celebrity now that she can race for a good long while.
2) Even if she wasn't a celeb for being good looking, I think there's enough interest in having a woman that's good enough to qualify that she'll get money for the Indy 500 until a better woman driver comes along.
3) I think she's done well enough that she may never win, but she's not one of the bottom third out there and that seems good enough for most of the guys.
