[CBFF] 30 years ago... and some Irony

Larry: I don’t recall the Bears ever blocking a field goal and returning it for a touchdown. Has that ever happened?

  Marty: It hasn’t happened for 30 years, not since Virgil Livers blocked Errol Mann’s 38-yard field goal attempt and Mike Spivey returned it 71 yards for a touchdown in a 25-19 overtime loss to the Oakland Raiders on Oct. 1, 1978 at Soldier Field.
   
  Ironic that this question was posed recently to Larry Mayer on chicagobears.com....
