Redskins' tuned-out Snyder shocks with Zorn --

Adams on the move? A good chance exists that Cowboys Pro Bowl left
tackle *Flozell Adams,
*a Proviso West grad, will be changing teams this off-season. Fellow Cowboys
tackle *Marc Columbo *publicly lobbied for the Cowboys to re-sign Adams last
week, but it might make sense for the Cowboys to let him go.
Adams will be 32 when training camp begins, which is not too old for an
offensive tackle. But Cowboys management is not sold on retaining Adams.
In fact, the Cowboys have been preparing themselves for life after Adams for
two years now. In 2006 they drafted *Pat McQuistan *in the seventh round and
have worked diligently to develop him. Last year they drafted *Doug Free *of
Northern Illinois in the fourth round and *James Marten *in the second
round.
Of the three, Free is the leading candidate to replace Adams because of his
athleticism. If Free were to fall short, the Cowboys also could move right
guard *Leonard Davis *to left tackle, where he played previously for the
Cardinals.
As for Adams, he probably will command a hefty salary on the open market
because left tackles are hard to find. But don't expect it to be from his
hometown Bears.
