Bears release Walker, Miller

The Bears began cleaning house on Monday.

Hours after the Bears released veteran receiver Muhsin Muhammad, they
parted ways with defensive tackle Darwin Walker and veteran tackle
Fred Miller.

Walker, picked up via a trade with the Buffalo Bills during training
camp, was a bust during an injury-filled season. He finished the
season on the bench while nursing knee and elbow injuries.

The Bears also signed defensive end Alex Brown to a two-year extension.
