Despite the inference from the article below, I'm guessing Grossman
might have gotten some slightly better (and longer) offers from other
teams. My guess is that he felt the game slowing down late in the season
and decided to take this deal in order to setup the mad '09 money if
he's right. If he didn't have that confidence, he would've taken a deal
elsewhere.
Again, this is all speculative. But I think Grossman knows his problems
are all upstairs, and that if has his head on straight, he'll be fine.
