But that's how you find the next Derek Anderson.  By taking a chance on
someone.

And I didn't say don't draft a QB.  But that's a separate issue from this
one because you shouldn't realistically expect your draft pick to have any
impact on next season.  I have no real opinion on whether they should draft
a QB or not.  It probably depends upon who you like in the draft, who your
new guy is and how young he is.  If you draft in addition to taking a flier
on someone, you are probably talking about eventually letting two QBs go
(someone gets cut in camp).
