[CBFF] Long goodbye -- chicagotribune.com

It is unlikely we would fill the roster with 2 inexperienced guys, so whether
you draft a player has a tremendous impact on whether you pick someone up
off of a practice squad of free agency. In general, there are not enough
snaps to go around if you have 4 QBs on the roster to reasonably evaluate in
training camp. That and I would have to think most fans would really scream
if we went into next year with Orton, no-name FA and a draft pick as our QBs.
That is almost like going into a year with Quinn, Hutchinson and Krenzel as
your backups (with an inexperienced starter to boot). Who in in their right
mind would do that ;-).
