Bernard Berrian is in Minnesota visiting with the Vikings Friday, but the Bears receiver is unlikely to sign with the team tonight. 

Rick Spielman, the Vikings' vice president of player personnel, told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that no more signings would be announced until at least Saturday. The Vikings agreed to terms with former Bengals safety Madieu Wiliams and former Eagles fullback Thomas Tapeh Friday. 

Berrian could take more visits before deciding on a team. The chances of him remaining a Bear are slim. 

It can only be considered good news for the Bears that Berrian left Minnesota after his free-agent visit Friday without signing a contract. 

A league source said the Vikings made their pitch to Berrian, but the wide receiver still planned to visit Oakland on Saturday. 

He will not be among the big-name free-agents such as cornerback Asante Samuel and guard Alan Faneca to sign with teams on the first day of free-agency. The Bears have to at least be encouraged by that, even if the Vikings' offer was believed to be higher than the Bears' proposal that Berrian rejected.

According to report, the Vikings used a private plane to pick up Berrian from California and fly him to Minnesota.
