Pedestrian?

Ryan, I can understand the frustration, but the market is thin at the
positions you mention (QB and WR). And to say Berrian is our most
dynamic offensive player isn't really saying much, and this is coming
from someone who genuinely likes the guy.

BTW, Donte Stallworth signed with Cleveland for only $10 mil
guaranteed, a much more sober offer than the Berrian deal.

FA isn't over yet. Hackett and Johnson are still out there and they
don't rate much lower than Berrian and they will be had for
considerably less. As far as I'm concerned, either of these guys plus
giving Bradley more play plus losing Moose makes the team better. And
that's without having to make a huge splash. Should we still try to do
more? Yes, but I prefer the current approach over drunkin' spending
that would tie our hands in '09 and beyond.
