[CBFF] Kiper's latest mock draft, March 4

When Lovie keeps saying they're a running team and they have no one to count
on, I say yes, RB is a need.

Though, I really want Chris Johnson in round 2 so I'd go for Williams in the
1st.

Do you really think RB is that much of a need? I mean, if the Bears can get
one of the top WRs, S, or DTs, you think a RB or Mendenhall specifically is
worth the pick?

1 Miami Dolphins Chris Long, DE Virginia
2 St. Louis Rams Glenn Dorsey, DT LSU
3 Atlanta Falcons Matt Ryan, QB Boston College
4 Oakland Raiders *Darren McFadden, RB Arkansas
5 Kansas City Chiefs Jake Long, OT Michigan
6 New York Jets *Vernon Gholston, DE Ohio St.
7 New England Patriots (from SF) Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, CB
    Tennessee St.
8 Baltimore Ravens Sedrick Ellis, DT USC
9 Cincinnati Bengals *Phillip Merling, DE Clemson
10 New Orleans Saints Leodis McKelvin, CB Troy
11 Buffalo Bills *Malcolm Kelly, WR Oklahoma
12 Denver Broncos *Ryan Clady, OT Boise St.
13 Carolina Panthers *Derrick Harvey, DE Florida
14 Chicago Bears Chris Williams, OT Vanderbilt
15 Detroit Lions *Rashard Mendenhall, RB Illinois

I find it interesting he has us passing on Mendenhall. Looking back at
his previous mock he also has us taking an OT, so he seems convinced
that that's the direction we're going. Ok, I can buy that, but how far
down the list and still take an OT? Scouts has Long, Clady and
Williams going before our pick (hence us picking Mendenhall), in
Kiper's scenario Williams is still on the board.

The key seems to start (naturally) at the top. If the Fins *do not*
take Ryan then the Falcons do (instead of an OT). The consistency is
having both the Chefs and the Broncos taking OTs so it's a matter of
whether two or three OTs are off the board when we pick.

Me? From what I've read I really don't want anyone other than the top
three rated OTs with our pick at #14. Otah might be good enough, but I
don't want to reach for him if a talent like Mendenhall is still on
the board.
