Not to revive an old argument but he made the same mistakes last year
that he made at the end of 2006. He did became something of a caretaker
QB at the very end. Maybe that's the goal now. Just don't turn the ball
over.
It's true that he'll see a little less pressure if the line is better
but he's always going to see some. Hell, they all do. You can't always
step up into the pocket. That's just the way it is. I'll also say this:
don't hold your breath waiting for better protection this year. The
Bears will have a rookie left tackle and might well have a very
inexperienced (if not rookie) left guard. It might not be pretty.
Grossman's not going to get any better. IMO we've seen all there is to
see. He's not good enough. I don't understand what makes the Bears (and
several members of the local media) think otherwise. I guess we'll see.
