I don't think he's smarter because he can do it.  I think he's smarter 
because he came in knowing how important it was.  I have this image in 
my head of conversations between Benson and the coaches that went 
something like this:

Smith:  "Cedric, you need to learn to pass block before we can play 
you.  You need to catch passes.  You need to expand your game to become 
a complete back."
Benson:  "Yes, coach."
Benson in his head:  "Yeah, right.  Just give the damned ball and get 
out of my way, old man.  You didn't pay me to come in here and pass 
block and catch passes."

Forte:  smart.  Benson:  not smart.
