The Bears released two local players Wednesday, getting rid of defensive 
tackle *Babatunde Oshinowo* and guard *Mike Jones*.

Oshinowo, the Neuqua Valley graduate, was signed to the practice squad 
early last season and was promoted to the 53-man roster for the final 
three games of 2007. He appeared in one game.

Jones, the Iowa product from Richards, was on the practice squad for the 
final seven weeks of last season. The Bears have a host of candidates to 
be developmental guards, including seventh-round picks *Chester Adams* 
and *Kirk Barton*.

Oshinowo was not regarded as highly as *Matt Toeaina*, a late-season 
pickup from Cincinnati, and the team drafted *Marcus Harrison* from 
Arkansas in the third round.
