[CBFF] Fire. Angelo. Now.

I'm right with you, Matt!

I'm tired of reading about how poor we are for only beating a team by 20+ points.

        Man, you guys are cheerful.

Here's a prediction: Next Sunday the Bears annihilate the Cardinals with a solid offensive play across the board, solid albeit not spectacular defensive play, and a Hester punt return TD. The members of this group will:

        A) complain about how the game was a fluke, due to lack of Cardinals' readiness/time zone difference/some other reason.

        or

        B) complain about how come it took the Bears this long to get it all together

        or

        C) complain about how there's NO WAY the Bears have that kind of performance twice in the same month, let alone in consecutive weeks

        or

        D) complain about how this performance will probably save Ron Turner's/Lovie Smith's/Jerry Angelo's job for the rest of the season, if not next season as well, thus setting back the current "grassroots" anxiety

        or

        E) All of the above.

        --------------------------
As for me, I'm happy the Bears won, and my car flag is back flying for the next day or two. Bear Down! Clip the Cardinals' wings! Make Warner wish for retirement!

        Matt

I'm not sure what the customary NFL tradition is, but if I wanted to get better, I'd look to practice time for that and try and get as many starters as possible on the bench when the game is no longer in doubt. Sure, game experience matters, but if a guy gets hurt at a point when the game is decided, that won't help you improve.

Likewise on defense other than Tillman and Briggs I don't think there is anyone that you absolutely have to protect by taking them out.

No matter how the defense plays, it never seems to piss me off nearly as much as our offense. I was not sure what to expect this year, but I was oh so looking forward to having a fun, imaginative offense to cheer for instead of against. Obviously, I realized there would have to be some sort of adjustment time, but I just see absolutely nothing in the way of a sign that there is any improvement with this mess. We should have accidentally had over 40 pts yesterday against that team, especially since we had great field position almost all game long. On another note, why the hell was Jay stll in late in the game, and why are we going for a TD on 4th and goal? IF we continue doing that, we may have to eventually run a new play besides the play action pass to the TE .. just saying is all.
