top-10 pick from Bears via Chicago Breaking Sports on 1/3/10

DETROIT -- It will come down to the strength of schedule, but the
Denver Broncos could nab a top-10 pick from the Bears in the Jay Cutler
trade.

The Bears are one of three teams to finish with a 7-9 record, joining
Jacksonville and Miami, and that means the draft pick the Broncos own
as part of the Cutler trade will be from Nos. 10-12 in the April draft.
The tiebreaker used for non-playoff teams is strength of schedule.

That means the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be selecting between Nos.
42-44 with the pick they received in the October trade for defensive
end Gaines Adams. Here are the top 12 teams in the draft, in
alphabetical order where records are tied:

St. Louis 1-15

Detroit 2-14

Tampa Bay 3-13

Kansas City 4-12

Washington 4-12

Cleveland 5-11

Oakland 5-11

Seattle 5-11

Buffalo 6-10

Bears 7-9

Jacksonville 7-9

Miami 7-9
